Abstract. The article discusses the relevance of using innovative technologies in physical education and sports at a university of traditional arts and crafts. The purpose of physical education is the formation of physical culture of students. One of the most important problems is the effective choice of means, methods and technologies of physical education, helping to increase not only the interest of students in physical culture and sports, but also the level of their physical condition. The application of the fitness technology using a set of physical exercises of fitball gymnastics in teaching the “Physical Culture and Sport” disciplines (modules) at a university of traditional arts and crafts contributes to solving this problem.
