Abstract. The article offers an empirical study of the behavioural characteristics of
aggressiveness. The main theoretical and empirical results, actual data, discovered relationships and patterns are presented. The study was conducted on the basis of Saint Petersburg National Guard Forces Command Military Institute. The respondents were cadets of the third and fifth years of the faculties of command and psychological support, 120 people in total. To study behavioural characteristics, L. Pochebut’s “Aggressiveness” technique was used. The object of the study was a cadet as a subject of military professional activity. The subject of the study was aggressive behavioural characteristics of the subject of activity. The hypothesis of the study is that the behavioural characteristics of aggressiveness have their own specifics depending on the
stage and conditions of formation of the subject of military professional activity. In the course of the empirical study, significant differences in behavioural characteristics of aggression between cadets of different courses and faculties were detected.
