The paper describes the author’s model of formation of a competence-oriented educational result by means of integration of training and upbringing, which was developed and tested on the basis of the Federal State Military Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Yaroslavl Higher Military School of Air Defence” of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in the framework of the training programmes 09.05.01 “Use and Operation of Automated Systems for Special Purposes” and 11.05.02 “Special Radio Systems”. The conceptual basis of this model is the programme of formation of a competence-oriented educational result by means of integration of training and upbringing, which reflects the features of the educational process in a military university.
