In the flow of speech, some words need further clarification and modification of their lexical meaning with the help of other words. In such cases, the sentence may include expanded modifiers or the whole dependent clause, which plays the role of a comprehensive complement to the basic syntax. Such complement complicates the overall structure of the sentence and its content. Along with non-restrictive expanded
modifiers, the homogeneous modifiers of the sentence may contribute to a more complicated structure of a compound sentence. Consequently, the article analyzes the homogeneous members of the sentence and non-restrictive clauses under the generic rubric of the sentences with expanded modifiers.
