The paper deals with a topical issue – psychological climate in families of teenagers
suffering from intellectual incapacity and sensory deprivation, its constructive and
destructive components influencing the process of teenagers’ socialisation. Moreover, the paper demonstrates some special aspects of the emotional climate in families of sensory incapable teenagers, dominating type of parental behaviour, teenagers’ perception of the family micro-climate, their personal development, affecting the specifics of their socialisation. The article examines the interrelation between the specifics of teenagers’ personal development and the psychological climate in their families. The current data can help teachers and psychologists to specify the priority goals in supporting families of teenagers with sensory deprivation and intellectual incapacity.
