In the article the author appeals to the cultural identity of contemporary Russian art and
presents the exhibition of contemporary Russian artists “Russian art in Monaco. Summer show of Russian galleries”, held in Monaco in the gallery Carré Doré from 6 to 15 august 2014. The exhibition is seen as an important component of intercultural dialogue of the two states. The author comments on the works, presented at the exhibition, and makes conclusions about the specifi cs of the style and theme of the paintings by contemporary Russian artists.
