The article analyses the problems of Chinese piano training in connection with the
Chinese piano boom. It is focused on the need to improve the teaching methods for
children and to bring these methods in line with the world standards. The article points
out how the traditional methods of standard teaching in Russian piano schools could
be used in China. The author makes conclusions about the necessity to find new ways
of cooperation between Chinese and Russian teachers and recommends to work closer together to create improved training aids for piano beginners.
