The paper analyses stock ownership in the Russian economy, which, being one of the
forms of associated acquisition, is the highest among them. The objective reasons that gave rise to the stock form of ownership in the era of industrial development are analysed. The author considers contradictions arising between various subjects of the stock form of ownership and describes the features of origin and functioning of stock ownership in the domestic economy.
