The professional standard contains a requirement for Russian language teachers “to
know the methods and techniques of teaching Russian as a foreign language”, but in
high school education the professional competence forming for multicultural school is
not provided. The article suggests a system of teacher training based on information
resources helping to build the competence in the framework of postgraduate education.
