The author of the paper proposes and justifies the statement “Globalisation is an
originating ideology of the future Western society”. The substantiation is based on
analysing the specific quantity of information in society as a calculable criterion of
evaluation of the current sociocultural condition of society through the example of this
parameter’s change in the history of the USA and Great Britain. The author shows the
peculiarities of the globalisation ideology in the fields of ideology, economy and culture,
and subsequently the supposed features of the future society of Western countries.
