Russia’s achievement of leading positions in global economy on the basis of effective
participation in the world division of labour and increase of the global competitiveness of its national economy is possible through activisation of its foreign trade. The article is devoted to the analysis of Russia’s foreign trade condition from 2008 till 2012. In particular, the author investigates the positions of the Russian Federation in the world rating of goods and services trading, analyses the structure of export and import over the countries and commodity groups, and considers the volume of foreign trade turnover.
