The main stages and peculiarities of the flower-and-bird genre development in Chinese art of the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties era are analysed in the paper. The peculiarities of the genre are also considered together with the peculiarities of its development in Chinese art of the 13th – early 20th centuries.
