The architecture of Chinese palace gardens is not only a perfect combination of advanced technology and high art, but it also embraces deep cultural connotations and ancient philosophy. The author of the paper analyses the composition of Chinese series of palaces and parks, their unique art and philosophical constituent. Based on the example of the Mountain Resort, a summer imperial residence in Chengde, Chinese series of palaces and parks are studied and their unique charm is revealed.
