The objective conditions of the historical formation of freedom as the development of
social relations are analysed in the article. The dialectical interrelation between freedom
and dependence, violence and liberation as moments of historically developing social
relations is displayed in the article. The class character of social relations splits these
moments and sets them off against each other. The solution of this contradiction lies in
the development of property forms as historical manifestation of freedom. Conditions
and methods of appropriation of social liberties are demonstrated.
