The article covers the main problems in the sphere of labour protection at enterprises
of small business. The state of labour protection in Russia is analysed to identify the
causes of unfavourable working conditions, such as lack of interest of employers in
safe working conditions, lack of fi nancial resources, inadequate legal and regulatory
framework of labour legislation. The main ways to improve the conditions and safety of
labour at small business enterprises are suggested.
