The results of the diagnostic research of gender identity and formation of gender
guidelines at teen age, including the distribution of roles in a family, are considered and
analysed in the article. The obtained data show the relevance of the problem of gender
identity forming within modern education and upbringing that contribute to successful
socialisation and adaptation of teenagers in a sociocultural space.
