The article dwells on the problem of tutoring in the context of modern school education.
Central to this pilot research is the question of organising tutorship of students’ research
activity, which was tackled by conducting a questionnaire survey among secondary and
high school tutors and students. The results of the content analysis of the questionnaires confimed the necessity of tutorship of students’ research activity. At the same time, according to these results, both teachers and students believe that it is only secondary school students that really need it, while high school students can do without it. Threfore, for the tutorship of 5–9-form students’ research activity to be successful; this problem needs to be worked out on both theoretical and practical levels, which confims topicality and applicability of this research.
