The article is devoted to the problem of music language in electroacoustic music. The
author explores the main methods of sound material development and provides an
interpretation of K. Stockhausen’s concept about the criteria of this phenomenon. The
general theses of this work are confimed by the analysis of the classical electroacoustic
music heritage: A. G. Schnittke’s “Flow” and D. Ligeti’s “Articulations”.
