The paper is devoted to the new methodology of region classifiation according to the
investment attractiveness level on the base of the investment potential and risk. The author
of the paper suggests a methodology of region evaluation by means of the regression
model, expert ranking and the following cluster analysis. On the base of the suggested
methodology the author comes to the conclusion about the present level of attractiveness
of Russian regions.
