The article is devoted to the results of the research on using mechanisms of psychological defense and coping strategies by representatives of diffrent types of subject and object personality orientations. The presented data give an opportunity to defie the specifiity of defensive and coping behaviour on the basis of a person’s life-sense orientations. The description of psychological personality types can be used in psychological correction work.
