The author considers a special page in the service of the internal troops of the USSR
Ministry for Internal Affirs in the Chernobyl disaster mitigation. It is noted that the
experience of command and control, organisation and performance of duty, educational
work with personnel, logistics and medical support in conditions of radioactive
contamination in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is important nowadays and can be
demanded in the future.
