The article is devoted to the problem of correspondence of such means denoting the
Future as shall/will + be + Ving, shall/will + have + V3 to the groups of Continuous
and Perfect Tenses. Despite the ambiguity of their semantics, in modern linguistics the
means denoting the Future are included in oppositions like the forms denoting the Past
and Present. Th analysis of examples with shall/will + be + Ving, shall/will + have + V3
shows that their meanings are diffrent from the meanings of the groups where they are
traditionally included on the basis of formal signs.
