The article is devoted to organising of crime scene examination under the necessity of
ensuring linguistic rights of its participants. The author considers legal procedure features
of involving a person who has a complete command of necessary languages for the needs
of the legal procedure to provide communication between participants of crime scene
examination. The author considers two types of participation of this person in the legal
procedure – in the legal status of a specialist or in the legal status of an interpreter.
