Scientifi discourse always riveted attention of linguists. A discursive view of text
and language phenomena is primarily associated with the escape of text linguistics
into the intertextual domain. Within the scope of discourse linguistics, one studies
the interaction of texts, analyses the problem of text functioning outside its linguistic
existence and realisation. Discourse is not only a new unit of analysis, but also a new
approach, a new view of language phenomena. Scientifi discourse is a result of the
special kind of intertextual dialogic cooperation, which combines elements of scientifi
dispute and informative dialogue. The participants of this discourse are either real voice
actors (scientists) or scientifi texts, where thoughts and ideas of the participants are
realised. The peculiarities of modern scientifi knowledge, its principles and objectives
cause changes in scientifi discourse, which determine the alteration of language traits
and stylistically marked linguistic means of the modern scientifi style as a language
subsystem.
