The article is devoted to the antinomy expression in Russian and Lithuanian paroemias
and presents a classifiation of paroemias of the “woman – man” semantic opposition.
The author analyses lexical and grammatical means of this antinomy’s expression and,
basing on the fild approach, considers pairs of usual and contextual antonyms that are
included in the core and periphery of the contrast fild.
