The author of the paper makes an attempt to describe the basic forms of existence of the
modern city language in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The review of some language
components of modern big cities of the republic (Ufa, Agidel, Baymak, Beloretsk,
Ishimbay, Neftkamsk, Oktyabrsky, Salavat, Sibay, Sterlitamak, Uchaly) does not claim to
be large-scale and noncontradictory in the analysis of language landscape elements from the standpoint of their accordance with accepted standards.
