Abstract. Critical thinking is considered in modern methodological science as one of the main factors influencing the effectiveness of learning. The paper is aimed at conceptualising the “critical thinking” concept in the outline of the educational process and at systematising numerous recommendations for teachers to improve students’ thinking skills.
