Abstract. The subject of consideration in this article is the extra-liturgical works of Valery
Arzumanov, an emigrant composer of the “third wave”. The author of the article focuses on
the unique implementation of religious themes in the composer’s choral works. The theme
of repentance dominates in the presented panorama of works; its priority genre is choral
concert, representing the creative credo of the Russian-French composer.
