Abstract. This article examines the phenomenon of anagramming in the works of the
famous contemporary composer Sofi a Gubaidulina. The authors of the article note that for
the composer the technique of anagramming is an integral part of her philosophical views.
As a result, the authors of the article come to the conclusion that this phenomenon is clearly
refl ected in music for bayan. Gubaidulina’s creativity in this sense not only became an
expression of the creative Self, but also brought the instrument to a new level.
