Abstract. The article provides a rationale for conceptual approaches to the content of the
educational programme for professional training of architects in the direction 07.03.01
“Architecture” (the “Architectural design” profile) at Sochi State University. The author
considers the strategic and tactical goals of the successful functioning of the model
of educational plan for professional training of architects, taking into account the design
and urban realities of the resort city of Sochi, located on the northeastern coast of the
Black Sea.
