Abstract. The article examines the integrativity of the profession of accompanist, which
includes several areas of activity that are implied in the educational process, but are not
formalised in any way. The main aspects of the accompanist profession, the requirements for each one, possible difficulties and ways to overcome them are analysed. The features of the accompanist’s creative work in the vocal class are revealed, where, due to the very specifics of the specialty, students differ in training, age, musical and physiological abilities, which imposes additional responsibility for their growth and development. The article offers recommendations to the accompanist when preparing a student for concerts and competitions. The professional and personal competencies of the accompanist within the framework of integrative professional activity are highlighted. The author emphasises the individual approach when working with a student vocalist and the importance of knowledge of vocal techniques.
