Abstract. The paper examines the avant-garde creativity of I. Stravinsky through the prism of the musical changes of the 21st century. The author of the paper reviews individual interpretations of the Rite of Spring presented in Russia: by T. Baganova, S. Waltz, I. Viner, A. Pita. The logic of transformation and the specifi cs of the techniques and means of artistic expression of modern productions of the Rite of Spring are analysed in comparison with the fi rst production held at the beginning of the last century.
