Abstract. Currently, written online communication via the Internet has become widespread in all age and social strata. The audience of messenger programmes is growing especially fast (implemented in different forms and on different platforms, but having a common functionality — they allow respondents to communicate online, that is, in real time). This article discusses the prospects for the study of involuntary manifestations of emotional expression in written online communication, shows the possible practical results of such a study.
