The article examines the ways of updating the humanistic function of Russian education
in the conditions of modern socio-cultural changes. The topical issues of developing
an integral system of socio-emotional and ethical education are revealed. The author
describes the results of studying the possibilities of implementing socio-emotional and
ethical education in Russia, taking into account the anthropological tradition.
