The article analyses the problem of the need for ethical restrictions that are inevitable for
modern technological development in order to escape the apocalypse potential of the modern environmental situation. The authors consider the concept of ethics of responsibility, which seeks to transform the utilitarian technological trends of human activity and asserts a new moral imperative of responsibility not only for the present, but even for the distant future.
