The article is devoted to the influence of the nature of interaction between a mother and
a young child on the severity of adaptation to the conditions of a preschool educational
organisation. The main attention is paid to the emotional and behavioural aspects of
maternal attitudes, as well as the peculiarities of intrafamily upbringing. The authors
conclude about the influence of certain parameters of child-mother interaction on the
occurrence of a breakdown in the adaptation of a young child to the conditions of a
preschool organisation. The result of this study may be an understanding of the need for
further study of the problem of disruption of adaptation and determination of methods
for its prevention associated with the improvement of psychological and pedagogical
work of personnel of preschool organisations.
