ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF A PERSON’S COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN POST-CRISIS PERIODS OF LIFE: THE SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECT

The paper presents a socio-psychological analysis of assessment and development of a person’s communicative competence. The author proposes a socio-psychological programme for the development of a person’s communicative competence in post-crisis conditions, which is made up of diagnostic, informational and correctional-developmental blocks. The effectiveness of the programme has been proven by the increase in the general indicators of harmony of communicative orientations, sociability and the degree of formation of the communicative culture. The indicators of perceptual-interactive and perceptual-nonverbal competence, adequacy of self-assessment of communicative interaction, reflection, communicative control, desire to find ways of communicative improvement, management of one’s own behaviour, activity of both the communicator and the recipient, adequacy in the expression of emotions in interpersonal interaction have increased. Emotional barriers in interpersonal communication have significantly decreased and the degree of responsibility in it has increased.
