The article considers the operational potential of the category of information and the
information approach in psychological research. Special attention is paid to the discussion of terminological and operational polysemy of concepts generated by the category of information. The search for an answer to the question of how to combine theoretical concepts in the Zeld of psychology and related Zelds of knowledge is discussed.
