The article discusses the idea of creating conditions for personal and professional development of students, which can be implemented in the system of higher education. This idea is associated with personalised training, in which students are active partners in their educational activities. The authors consider strategic features of personified vocational training at university, which are manifested in the individual, personalised and personified approaches. The paper describes the experience of the Institute of Pedagogy of Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia in personalised training of students. Key words: self-determination, personification, individual approach, personal and professional development of students.
