The article is devoted to the concept of transfer in teaching mathematics. This notion is
understood as an intellectual process that provides diverse knowledge and experience in understanding and solving the problem. Negative and positive manifestations of transfer
in real learning activities have been identiBed. Methods that contribute to the positive
transfer of student activity in solving problems are proposed.
