The paper deals with the issues of working on sounding educational texts at Russian
language lessons. The strategy-based approach is used in teaching listening comprehen-
sion to students. The author justiSes the communicative and pragmatic aims of creating
secondary texts in forming students’ skills to Snd the main and secondary information,
key words and logical blocks in sounding texts. The author describes the steps of analyti-
cal work on sounding texts aimed at their understanding.
