The article reveals the problem of aesthetic education of schoolchildren based on the
song and folk traditions of China. The author analyses the features of the traditional
vocal culture of China, as well as the functioning of song folklore in society, the place
and role in the modern education system. The author also reveals the leading trend in the development of music education – the combination of the traditional national approach
and musical pedagogical innovations.
