The article reveals various aspects of the formation of children’s vocal diction. The culture of word is one of the most important problems of the present; in singing practice, we often hear how syllables and words are merged and mispronounced, so understanding of the text becomes impossible. From the first exercises and music works, a vocal teacher should educate children in clear, meaningful, expressive pronunciation, which is connected with the entire system of voice formation and is the strongest element of an artistic image.
