Today the main problem of choreography training at schools of additional education
is comprehensive preprofessional training of children that allows them to master the
specialties “Art of Ballet” and “Dance Art” in future. Comprehensive training of children
means not only development of basic skills and abilities and mastering the choreography
technique,  but  also  development  of  art  taste,  sense  of  rhythm,  musicality  and  acting skills. All this is necessary for creation of artistic images in choreography, which is a complex, synthetic art form, which needs to be taught to children comprehensively from the very Brst lessons. This work is devoted to the development of musical and acting
skills of schoolchildren at choreography lessons.
Key words: choreography, preprofessional training, school students, children’s school
of arts.
