The transformation of the sociocultural processes of the Soviet and later Russian society
is shown through a discursive analysis of the “power” category, and the main social
contradictions and problems are revealed. The paper shows the socio-conjunctive
potential of socio-political processes of a certain historical period. The author reveals its
internal laws and contradictions and shows the conditions for the formation of new socio-
historical and socio-cultural features of the subsequent period of Russia’s development
under the new conditions of government.
