St udy of higher educat ion in the post-Soviet territory: from modernisat ion to uncerta inty

V. S. Starikov
Price: 50 руб.
The paper provides a historical reconstruction of social analysis of Soviet and post-
Soviet education. The author criticises the dominant Western and Russian approaches to the processes of social transformation of higher education. It is argued that understanding of the post-Soviet transformation as linear modernisation is untenable.
Key words: education, post-Soviet area, transformation, globalisation, modernisation.
