Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the quantitative and qualitative composition
of homeowners in Saint Petersburg at the end of the 19th century. Analysing the book “List
of Homeowners in Saint Petersburg”, the author of the article compiles the social, national
and gender composition of Saint Petersburg owners of apartment buildings in 1892.
