Abstract. The paper examines the characteristics of adolescents’ loneliness experience via the lens of individual differences in self-regulation. The study included 82 participants aged 13 to 14. The levels of self-regulation were identified by means of cluster analysis. To investigate the specifics of loneliness experience in the groups of respondents with the outlined levels of self-regulation, a Kruskal–Wallis H test was used. The study found statistically significant differences in the characteristics of loneliness experience among adolescent respondents with high, medium, and low levels of self-regulation.
