Abstract. The article is devoted to the relevant problem of educating schoolchildren by means of theatrical art. The author describes the experience of teaching the “Musical Theatre” subject with the use of hermeneutic technologies in a children’s theatre group of an institution of additional education in Saint Petersburg. The forms and methods of educational work with students are summarised.
