The article views the main comical units of an art structure through the example of Arkady
Raikin’s creativity. The author analyses the nature of this artist’s humour and considers
such basic concepts as a comic trick and gag. Special methods of buffoonery, grotesque,
substitution of logic with alogism, combination of realism and phantasmagoria are used
in Arkady Raikin’s works.
